School Is Out, Summer Is In

Calling all youths – I have a huge announcement…. Sadly, summer is almost over, which means it’s time for you to get out in the sun and have a little fun before it’s too late. And fortunately for you, I have just the solution to all your summer bummer thinking.

If you are a kid or a parent who want to have a little more fun before time is up this summer, make sure to go check out the Stony Plain Youth Centre. They have many exciting activities and events that are sure to make your summer one to remember. For example, on August 10, the centre is celebrating Youth Day with games and hot dogs. As well as on August 17, they are visiting the popular West Edmonton Mall for an exciting day of mini golf, bowling, a mirror maze and Sea Life Caverns. Everyday the centre brings on a whole new adventure for you and your family to explore, so make sure you check out their website and get ready for a wild ride.

Another great way to spend the rest of your summer break is with an action-packed camp, including the Change Adventure Camp, Camp Yowochas, and Camp Nakamun. Through all of these programs, you focus on the art of discovery, exploration, team building, how to make healthy decisions, leadership skills and many other activities. Each camp provides their own unique perspective on allowing kids to learn through enjoyable adventures like zip lining, hiking, cooking, yoga classes, archery, fire building, and many other skillful projects. If you are interested in registering for a camp make sure to check out each website to sign up.

Finally, my last but other great suggestion would be to look at registering for a camp at the Tri Leisure Centre. Offering great programs, including the Imagination Creation Camp, Mix N’ Match Sport Camp, Run Jump Throw Camp and the Venture Out Camp, the Tri Leisure is a great way to spice up your summer break. Ranging from all different ages, these programs allow your kids to release their creative and sporty sides while developing fundamental skills and knowledge. Once again, make sure you go to the Tri Leisure website to check out these different programs and see if anything strikes your interest.

I hope I helped make your summer a little bit better with my advice, now go out and have the best summer you could ever imagine!
